blabber...meddler...

don't you just hate someone who interfers with everything you do? well, i do. I'm having a hard time understanding the kind of life they lead. is it so difficult to just mind your own business so every one can get through with their lives? so everybody happy?
people get too emotional at times- i do too - but not to the point that you'll get everyone involved in your own ideal life- like it's the end of the world?!!

i just hope people can respect that when you don't want to talk to them, then it only means you don't want to talk to them. when you get an unaswered call, it only means it is unanswered. doesn't necessarily mean that you'll get a call back. when things are just simple for other people to comprehend, they make things too complicated for everyone else!

what else do they want?!!!

under the same sun...

Since Thursday, I haven't been well. Caught the fever and the flu..and over the weekend, I spent my time in bed most of the time watching telly. I took medicines to ease the pain yet I'm not really sure if its helping at all. Drinking heaps of water as well as my regular vitamins.

Must have been the change of weather. Well, winter is already over here in dxb and so we welcome the scorching summer now. And this must be the reason why I'm feeling under the weather.

I should have been to work today but chose not to. Don't really wanna push it. Rather have myself all recuperated before dealing with all the stress again.

Might face the manic monday tomorrow...

C14

Among the four of us, 2 knows how to drive, 1 attempted to learn to get a license and 1 is deciding on whether to learn to drive to get a license yet no one has a car! If you ask us why, we all got different reasons of course...Somehow we got used to with taking public transportation in dxb i.e. taxis, abras and the most important of all, the bus! Few more years and will be able to get to ride the "metro" then hopefully, will get back to the saying, "everything in dxb takes 20 mins tops" ... I'm crossing my fingers for it!

For the past few weeks though, I'm a regular C14 passenger. From Karama to Deira, it only takes you about half an hour to travel compare to from before when take bus # 3 and you'll get home in 2 hours as it loads and unloads passengers at every bus stop! You might even get a migraine at the amount of travel time you have!

But very thankful to RTA (Road Transport Authority) as they have despatched these new buses and routes so most passengers don't have to worry getting to their destinations on time. And with the volume of this buses, there's always a seat or two available for your worry-free trip.
And what's even better, you only have to pay 2 dirhams for a fare! Ain't that practical for us?

Will wait for the "metro" soon... let's see how that goes...

got game?

Today, I have witnessed, not gruesome nor bloody, bout of two men involved in one particular business. I have seen them as friends start it all together, agreed on terms through verbal and paper but as what we all know, when it comes to business, money is always the biggest issue!

It has become apparent the saying, "when money talks, everybody listens". It's sad when two friends fall apart when it comes to money but at the end of the day, we should all learn to study the ethics of business- who makes the decision? the share of the profit? which aspect of the business is gaining and losing at the same time? There are lots of things to consider and for partners like them, I guess they just both need to compromise. Not like kids arguing every single thing and no one even seem to want to listen to each other.

It's a big world out there and everybody seems to be in the game... but if you think that even your friend or your partner is a competition then you got a problem. After all, we're all players in the game. Its best to concentrate on your tactics to make the goal rather than blaming a team mate for missing to hit one.

Hate the game, not the players...

"The only permanent thing in this world is change..."

Haven't been in touch with the blogs lately...been really busy with work and stuff. Sorting out everything with two hands yet having a hard time which one to deal first... with work and stuff in between, its manic...after all, I only have two hands and there is only so much I can do...

Did you ever come to a point where you see constant change? People come and go? Business closes down and another opening up? Getting fired from a job then finding a better one? Kids growing up and parents finding hard time educating them? A friend growing his hair long and getting a fat belly?...You see a lot of these changes and yet have you asked yourself if you have made changes in your life so far?

A pretty tricky question but unfortunately sometimes, its very hard to answer. You can say that you have changed growing or losing a few pounds in the last months but that's not really change is it? Physically yes...but mentally and emotionally, have you gone mature tackling things? That's another question..

Everything changes in this world and we all have to realize that... I've come to terms with it as I go along the way, sometimes its hard to adapt and comprehend but I have to, one way or another...and no matter how much we stay in one place, we are still on shaky grounds...

Yes, the only constant thing in this world is change... we just have to move along with it...
After all, we don't want to be stuck in the middle, do we?

crunch...crunchier...crunchiest...

This morning while I was reading my morning paper on the web, few bits and pieces of news here and there, gains and losses in the stock market, a rapper feels remorse for attacking a woman and the biggest concern for all is the current economic situation. Sadly all over the world, we have heard thousands of lay offs and sudden closure of establishments and companies. It's not at all walk in the park anymore. People still need to survive this credit crunch...and how do you think we're getting on?

Probably at this time, many must have been cutting costs on everything. If you're used to splurging on every little thing, then you must be feeling the crunch by now- cutting down on your shopping sprees but unless you're a son or a daughter of the rich and famous, then you're on the exempt. But for middle class peeps, its really hard these days.

Some maybe feeling a bit depressed as they lost their jobs. Some are even thinking of going back to their motherland and give up their desert dreams. Some are still waiting for something good to happen. Some are just plainly being a bum.

For us, we're hanging on ...even if sometimes we feel we're already on the edge...

Tough times...Tough breaks...

filler....killer...

Amidst a place of serenity
As I watch beyond the horizon
Thoughts of bliss pass my mind
Its another day that has gone by…

I look high above
To see the forlorn moon
Wondering if there was something
This dark night can offer…

I ask myself to this day
Why do I feel so fray?
When I’ve got all I have
And have nothing more to ask for…

I stumbled down
Laid my feet on the ground
At the stops and turns
I finally knew….

masakit na pala tyan ko...

tawag na ako ni Tiyo Doro...
